Engine Gears & Timing Gears

Precision Technologies designs and manufactures all types of engine gears and engine timing gears to the highest tolerances. Our capabilities extend to the production of engine-specific precision gears engineered for performance, accuracy, and durability across the most demanding motorsport and specialist applications.

For Formula One, we manufacture engine gears to master gear quality (DIN QU.3 to DIN QU.6, depending on exact customer requirements). While most engine timing gears fall between 2.0 and 3.0 modules, our expertise allows us to manufacture gears from 0.2 module up to 12 module (180 D.P. to 2 D.P.).

We work with a wide range of materials, including case hardening steels, aerospace-grade steels, and tool steels, ensuring each application has the optimal balance of strength and performance. Gears can also be shot peened and super-finished to deliver maximum reliability under load.

Precision Technologies supplies gears for all areas of motorsport, including F1, IRL, CART, A1GP, and historic racing engines, where engine-specific precision gears are critical for both performance and longevity.
